OK, this is beyond me. Ever since installing Windows 10 Creators Update all of the following happens after rebooting the machine: - I can't launch OpenGl games. Planetary Annihilation gives me an error that my graphics driver is missing Open Gl features. Unigine demo/bench in Open GL mode gives e similar error. - I can't open Nvidia control panel. I just doesn't launch, no error. - Photoshop CCcan't see my video card and GPU acceleration option is grayed out. I have to reinstall Nvidia drivers each time this happens. Then all is fine until I reboot the machine. And it doesn't even happen after every reboot. I have no idea what triggers this. But it's getting to be very irritating. There are some errors and warnings in the event viewer but nothing that seems remotely related to video drivers. I wiped and clean-installed Windows 10 several times already. I do custom install and only install the Nvidia video driver and Physx software, not the other stuff. I set WU no NOT install drivers. All my drivers are the latest: Intel, Asus, etc. I tried older version of Nvidia drivers though, same thing happens. I just installed 382.33 yesterday and it already happened once. Nothing else points to hardware issues. I can play games for hours without any problems, both OpenGl and Direct X games. I can use Photoshop and Lightroom for hours. I play movies with VLC, I run Prime95, Geekbench, Furmark, 3D Mark for hours. No crashes. No errors. Normal scores, typical for the hardware. This only happens after a reboot. It's like something gets uninstalled. I googled for hours. Some people have similar issues but I've found no solution to this so far. I've no idea what to do. My 6700K CPU is overclocked to 4.5 and liquid cooled with dual 120mm Corsair cooler, but before last Windows reinstall, I clocked it back to defaults and it still happened. Two 1080FE video cards are modded with EVGA liquid coolers but not overclocked at this time. I have Asus Maximus VIII Gene mobo, I updated the BIOS even but it still happens. I had some stutter issues related to latest BIOS and Realtek audio drivers. But the stutter is gone and the machine runs perfectly fine otherwise, except the above. It didn't occur to me to look at dxdiag until today but everything seems fine. Any ideas would be welcome.
Any help will be apprecited. I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
