Rollenspiele » Witcher 2 before Witcher 3?

Hii..

I really liked games like the Fallout (all 3 games), Oblivion, Skyrim, etc. I've heard good things about the Witcher, but never played any of them. I don't have much time to play games anymore, so I was thinking of jumping right into part 3. My concern is that I'm going to be completely lost as far as characters or story. All I know is that he's supposed to be some kind of monster slayer or something. For the overall experience would it be alright starting with part 3?

Please help.
